“No Ordinary Love” – Rare Futures

Taking on the critical task of covering Sade is never an easy standard to live up to, but Rare Futures deliver a crisp rendition of the classic “No Ordinary Love” with support from Gavin Castleton.

Rare Futures are amidst a summer tour that sees them take on the left coast of California starting June 20th and continuing northward to Washington and Oregon before returning to heady country.   Comprised of musicians that have played with Taking Back Sunday, Atlas Genius, Rx Bandits, Dear Hunter, Rare Futures are the reincarnation of the rock band formerly known as Happy Body Slow Brain currently touring to support their limited edition FutureCastle vinyl EP release (available via In The Clouds Records), a collection of classic covers recorded with Gavin Castleton.   The FutureCastle project includes covers of not just Sade, but also Chicago, Hall and Oates and Tears for Fears.   Rare Futures play co-bills with Gavin Castleton at Los Angeles’ Resident on Thursday June 22nd and The Wayfarer in Costa Mesa on Friday the 23rd.
