Music Forward Foundation Offers Career Opportunities to Young Adults

House of Blues’ Music Forward Foundation announced its very first ALL ACCESS Fest, an event designed to jump start careers for eager young adults keen on working in the music industry.  The career fair is fueled by  rock and roll twist that unites music industry leaders, employers and educational institutions with youth, ages 16-22, to explore professions fueled by passion, including full-time jobs and performance opportunities.

The event is taking place at House of Blues around the country through out the month of October.   Events will feature panel presentations, breakout sessions with industry insiders, emerging artist performances and informational booths from employers and educational institutions focused on the music industry.  Workshops and sessions will explore topics such as Women in Music, Music Business 101, Technology in Music, The Art of Networking, Monetizing Your Music and more.  Over 100 leading industry and community leaders will be at the festivals providing knowledge, skills and insight to the next generation of leaders, with a significant number expected to be in attendance in Los Angeles.  Experts confirmed to participate include Arabian Prince, NWA founding member; David Marcus, Ticketmaster EVP Head of Music; Amanda Schoffner, ASCAP Director of Film & TV Music; Lara Christie, WME Music Agent; Mark Hubbard, Recording Academy Chicago Chapter President; Sonica Ruiz, Chicago Park District Director of Cultural Affairs; Jaime Gregory, Mandalay Bay EVP of Entertainment; Greg Schatz, French Quarter Fest Entertainment Director; Ashley Shabankareh, Preservation Hall Director of Programs; Angela Watson, Q93/iHeart Media New Orleans radio personality and many more.

Chicago- October 12th from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at House of Blues

Las Vegas-October 18th from 9:30 AM – 12-30 PM at House of Blues

Los Angeles- October 18th from 9:30 AM-12:30 PM at The Wiltern

New Orleans- October 20th from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at House of Blues

Locally, Torres East LA Performing Arts Magnet, Hollywood High School, Notes for Notes, Musicians Institute will be present and offering opportunities to explore educational pathways into careers in music.
