Mayer Hawthorne Rocks Palladium

As January closes out and we enter the month that celebrates love – Los Angeles gets a dosage of rhythm and blues and love songs served courtesy of crooner Mayer Hawthorne.  The Ann Arbor alumni’s penchant for doo-wop inspired ballads and dreamy hooks compliment his live showmanship which leaves little to be desired.  If you’ve never seen a Mayer Hawthorne performance – Friday at Hollywood Palladium is your chance to catch the seasoned soul-man in his element on his Where Does This Door Go tour with Quadron.  For the California dates, which include San Diego (1/30) and San Francisco (2/1), Hawthorne is joined by LA firecracker Gavin Turek – whose fierce stage presence is a force to be reckoned with.  She is sure to start the night with energy and set the bar high for performance – so go early if you’re going…

Amidst a nationwide tour with support from Quadron, January saw Mayer perform at the winter classic in Michigan’s Big House a few weeks back where he heated up the crowd in 15 degree temperatures.   You certainly won’t have to deal with the cold come Friday – but you will have to deal with his vocal heat.  Make your weekend hotter by winning tickets to the show – just email, tweet out @supergoodmusic @livenationLA @mayerhawthorne @thepalladium @gavinturek or tag @supergoodmusic @livenation @mayerhawthorne in an instagram post of something Mayer related (like, for example, a picture of his heart shaped vinyl).

If you do win tickets and you’re not a vegetarian – maybe go for Mayer Hawthorne sensory overload  and swing thru Umami Burger in Hollywood for The Hawthorne before the performance.
