Culture Collide Returns to Los Angeles Next Week!

The esteemed Culture Collide Music Festival returns to Los Angeles’ eastside next week for three nights of raucous independent music, culture and fun.  Kicking off October 16th and running thru October 18th, the line-up features an eclectic mixture of talent from across the globe, including domestic rockers Cloud Nothings, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and De Lux, as well as international soulful sensation Quantic and Until The Ribbon Breaks.    Get tickets here before it sells out!

Culture Collide always showcases some emerging talent too – and here are three (3) international acts performing that may be under your radar, but hopefully not for long….

1)  Fractures – Minimalist alternative pop artist Fractures hails from Melbourne, Australia and the soft textures of his voice on tracks like “Won’t Win” suggest that he’ll be doing exactly the opposite with the Culture Collide crowd.

2) Sampology – also hailing from Australia, Sampology is a pioneer in the new league of audio-visual music making producer extraordinaires.  With 7 synths in his studio currently, the young Sam Poggioli has fully transitioned from his earlier years as a focused audio-visual DJ to the full fledged Sampology producer he is today.  Carefully blending hip-hop and electronic music (like on this Dip remix), while adding layers of unexpected dopeness through audio-visual enhancements, this Sampology performance is not to be missed.

3) Alphabetics – purveyors of indie dance punk with a little island flare, Costa Rican artists Alphabetics are well versed in spelling out how to have a good time. With tracks like “Bistek (Another Mistake),” off their 2012 selfdestructive EP, that seamlessly blend elements of punk, ska, and party rock, you’d think you might find them sharing a stage with Fishbone.
